Yes, yes, sorry about this.
It’s come to our knowledge that a certain… well-known—I mean, I guess—board game is launching on June 20th, the same day as ours. And while we would expect some carryover promotion, the potential to get lost in the miasma of hype has convinced us to advance the clock a bit.
Also, Backerkit’s new website launches next week.
Soooo, we have decided to push UP the launch of our next Ultramodern5 crowdfunding campaign to NEXT TUESDAY, JUNE 13th!
Nothing else will change.

Hey Everyone!
I just returned from the long weekend holiday: it was more like a work weekend, as I was delivering games to wine country. I have a few updates to share.
LUXURY SHIPMENT FIX
I know some of you did not receive emails, but please be assured that all the replacement sets for those who received incorrect rewards (receiving the standard slipcase instead of the luxury set) have been sent out.
I had assumed the return waybills would be emailed out, but instead, they are inside the box with the luxury set being sent. When you receive your correct reward, please place the incorrect standard slipcase in the same box and affix the waybill found inside.
I must repeat that request, and please send back the incorrect reward. We’re not rich people here at DEM. 😊
The backers due for boxes in North America are all in Canada, while the international ones are scattered across the rest of the planet. Those are being sent out by a second distribution company, which has received the stock, so they should be in your hands fairly soon.
ULTRAMODERN5 PUSHED BACK
In the previous update, we discussed our next campaign, a reprint of Ultramodern5, four new adventures, and two new campaign settings.

To ensure everyone is aware, this is the same book as the 2019 Kickstarter, though we are offering a new leather edition exclusive to this upcoming campaign. Depending on the popularity of the campaign, there is a chance that we may update the PDF so that it’s not as massive as the current edition (which will involve rebuilding the entire book in InDesign).
However, we wanted to inform everyone that we have decided to PUSH BACK THE CAMPAIGN LAUNCH to JUNE 20th. There’s nothing alarming about this; we just looked at our schedule and realized we have so much on the fly over the next month, including three local events William Miller and I are both working on. The campaign will still be 20 days.

Hey everyone.
We’re happy to announce our next project.
For those unaware, Dias Ex Machina brought on a partner in the form of William Miller of BeDumb Games. William has been an ardent supporter of Dias Ex Machina for years and has offered to take on an administrative and co-creator role, allowing me to focus on content creation and less on the enjoyable but time-consuming administration process.
To that end, now that Affinity has finished (with only a few distribution errors still to fix), we are prepared to move forward...
Yes, I know; it seems like we did this. But this is not just a reprinting of Ultramodern5, but the release of six adventures and campaign worlds.
For those already possessing Ultramodern5 in any form, you’re still good. Yes, we are offering a new edition, but this has come from the new printer that can offer us more exciting options.
The new campaign’s planned launch is on June 6 and will run for only twenty days.

LEATHER EDITION DISTRIBUTION ERROR UPDATE
Bridge has confirmed that the luxury leather mixup affected only international backers, but it looks like that number is as high as 25. Bridge has emailed everyone potentially affected, but some of you still haven't responded.
You are owed these rewards and I would hate for you to miss out on what is due.
I have been told that replacements may be going out as soon as Wednesday.
In the future, I'll make sure whoever distributes our books knows the difference between a leather edition and a non-leather edition.

THE UNFORTUNATE DISTRIBUTION SCREW UP

Hey everyone!
As many of you know, there was a severe issue regarding distribution.
Several backers who had pledged or ordered the luxury leather editions received a standard slipcase instead. This was not a mistake with you, me, or the pledge manager but on Bridge Distribution.
There was an alarming initial screwup when they claimed they had never received the luxury editions from China. This is, of course, patently false, as I know customers who have received their correct rewards.
It was then we realized that Bridge assumed the luxury case would be leather. This ignores the fact that the games' boxes were clearly labeled "Special Edition."
If one is not paying attention, I can almost understand the confusion. While both editions have the same cover, the standard is a vertically orientated slipcase; the luxury is a horizontally orientated clamshell.
By this point, I had already identified seven backers that had received incorrect rewards, several being close friends.
I demanded that Bridge reach out to EVERY luxury customer.
After the email was sent, the number of errored shipments jumped to eleven. I believe the final number could be over twenty, which is near the inventory error I calculated.
If you believe you are owed the luxury leather edition and have not received an email from Bridge, please check your spam folder, or message me directly, and I will look into it. If you have received the email, please, please, please respond so we can fix this issue. You are owed your correct rewards. Hopefully, Bridge will soon be issuing the correct rewards along with prepaid packing slips to return the incorrect ones at no cost to you.
Alas…this leads to another distinct possibility that a few luxury editions also went out to standard customers. This upsets me, as a backer who received a luxury edition is less likely to admit to the error.
All I can do is ask that you let me know if you did incorrectly receive a luxury edition. Ultimately, I won't be asking for it back, but if I can confirm the number of incidents, I can request compensation from Bridge.
I know it's not our fault, but I am sorry.
