HEY EVERYONE!
An official January update is still coming, but I just wanted to say this quickly to alleviate any concerns.
Some of you might be aware of the news from Wizards and Hasbro, and updates are occurring daily…however…
None of Dias Ex Machina’s Kickstarters will be canceled. None of our products will be removed from any storefronts unless the storefronts themselves remove them.
We still have future 5E products to be released, and their publication will not be halted.
We will not abandon the OGL and RPG communities, and certainly not our fans and backers.
Also, on a side, I am hosting a livestream Wednesday at 11 PST where I will, as primarily a thought experiment, design a new 5.75 ruleset with live community feedback.

DISTRIBUTION

Hey Everyone!
We are approaching Christmas, but we’re still working here.
Last update had our games hit US shores, which was a relief.
Not long ago, it finally cleared customs.
Happily, we can finally announce they hit distribution. The last stop is your homes.
I asked Bridge Distribution to send me “proof of life,” and I was sent these.
Like I mentioned in the previous update, you’ll get these before I will, so I’d love to see some unboxings!
I was really hoping that these would start going out before Xmas, but Bridge informed me that there are a few projects ahead of ours. Sigh. Nothing we can do about that. Sorry.
But this is still good news; shipping and customs are always a colossal pain. Have a Merry Christmas, everyone!

HEY EVERYONE
Despite my wish, they don’t move two pallets of books across the ocean by hydrofoil.
Thankfully, all parties have been in constant contact to ensure a smooth transition when they finally do arrive.
I wish I could speed these along, but all we can do is wait, and it’s likely going to be a few more weeks.
However, the time has finally come to LOCK ADDRESSES. This is the final step on my end.
Most everyone will be receiving an email from BackerKit to confirm their addresses for physical rewards. If not, and you believe you are expecting physical rewards, you can always check your BackerKit account directly.
PRINT ON DEMAND
I can also HAPPILY announce that I fixed our issues with the print-on-demand options.
To confirm to those who may still be confused, print-on-demand books are NOT physical rewards: those are offset prints heading to distribution right now (see above).
The PODs are options for those who want to order the books from DriveThruRPG. As stated in a previous update, the POD books don’t feature any of the physical stretch goals. So they won’t have satin bookmarks, high-quality paper, or spot-UV coating. They will also be more expensive.
However, this is the preferred option for some, given issues like shipping prices and VAT.
Coupons for these editions will go out later today and will be added to these appropriate rewards in BackerKit. Emails will then be sent out.
If you don’t receive the email within 48 hours and want to order a POD book, just message me.
My next update should mark the beginning of physical distribution!

HEY EVERYONE!
Just in case some of you STILL required proof, I received these images last week after confirming that our games were on their way. Shortly after, I was a fly on the wall between production and distribution, handling the importing and stuff. I’m getting excited: are you getting excited?
AUDIO
I have not spoken much about the audiobook as we suffered some delays during the summer.
Primarily, we were forced to recast one of the leads, which happens, but still sucks. The problem has been resolved.
Secondly, another lead’s star is rising, having been cast in a major upcoming role, but they remain firmly committed to completing their work. I am hoping we can release the first volume very soon. I’ll keep everyone updated.
We stopped the weekly table reads as Jon Fink (the producer) and I believe everyone has settled into their roles, and the process of final recordings has begun. I am including excerpts from the last few table reads below. None of these are final as they lack any ambiance, effects, or final recordings, save for Mark Meer, who was cut in to replace my horrific nasally voice…
AMETHYST FINAL HOURS

Amethyst, the currently running Kickstarter, is just wrapping up its campaign and is down to its final 24 (ish) hours. It’s been a hell of a journey. We’ve unlocked all the same physical rewards as the Affinity sets possessed with a few alterations.
There’s no magnetic box or slipcase as we expect to follow up with at least another Amethyst. However, the Amethyst books WILL have lenticular coves.
If you don’t know what those are, here are some examples sent to me…
All the in-content stretch goals have been crossed as well.
Also, we’ve unlocked an Amethyst-themed GM screen, foldable mats, and a fantastic new STL file (for 3d printers) of the ETV Scrambler.
